“We learn not to judge people”

During this year UWC Mostar  has taught me a lot, it has given me a lot of opportunities, and a lot of experiences. In the short time I’ve been in Mostar so far, although it seems like ages, I’ve met new friends with whom I will without a doubt stay in contact with for the rest of my life. I had the amazing opportunities to see the world, or at least a bit of it. Apart from travelling around during breaks, I had the amazing chances to go to Geneva and Israel because of the MUN and FIRST Robotics CASes. 

UWC in general teaches us a valuable life lesson, it’s not about where you are from, what you look like, or what you believe in that matters.  It’s what you think and what you do that defines you. We learn not to judge people based on where they are from, but to give them all an equal chance. And you’ll be surprised at the outcomes: Croatians, Serbians and  Bosnians live here together.  Some of my best friends here are from a wide variety of countries, Germany and  Poland, Libya, and Iraq and we share this unique experience. 

I want to use this opportunity to thank you, and to tell you that I will forever be grateful for this chance that has been given to me.
