I am seventeen years old and I live in the south of the Netherlands in a village called Helden. My greatest passion is music. I have been playing the clarinet for more than seven years now. The great thing about music is being able to play together and try to create perfect harmony. I went to primary school in a small village nearby. In that village there is only one family that comes from abroad, so I did not come into contact with many different cultures. In secondary school there was a slightly bigger diversity, and I became friends with a girl from Afghan origin. She really inspired me and she is one of the many reasons why I want to go to a UWC, to get inspired by many different cultures and people’s stories. I would like to thank you very much, for giving me this opportunity!
