I have been a member of my school’s Model United Nations team, participated in multiple conferences and helped in setting up our own MUN conference for the younger students of our school. This means that more students will be introduced to what MUN entails and how they can formulate and apply their ideas. I believe that this will create an interest for different cultures and make you want to see more of the world. Which is why I have been to Malawi to volunteer at multiple projects and see how they were set up from the project/country coordinator’s perspective. My impact there was very basic but the experience has taught me a lot about how to go about similar projects in the future. Other experiences that I consider very useful are student exchanges with Italy and Indonesia. I hope to use all the experience I have gained and apply it at UWC Changshu China that I will be attending coming schoolyear! At UWC I will try my best to be as active as I can to face a diversity of challenges and put solutions into actions, no matter how small they may seem. I hope that this will contribute to sustainable development for the area as well as other students and myself reaching our full potential by combing our unique passions for a stronger future.
In whatever I end up doing after graduating, I would like to show that if you feel passionate about what you are doing and are committed you can have a bigger impact than you might think.
